It was time to nut up and do it...
As a trained designer and architect, I have always appreciated watches for not only there technical prowess but as well as there intentional design decisions. Be it big names or outliers, I believe every brand has offerings-mostly vintage, sadly-that can introduce the collector to new vistas. Hey, the joy in this whole collecting journey comes from confronting the hypocrisy of "not for me, now it's for me" on a continuous basis.
With Off Time, part of the ethos is getting to introduce the novice enthusiast to things that sit outside the complete norm of the intro-luxury segment. And yes, there will be Studies & Lives (eventually), that sit well above that segment. Through my collecting journey, I have discovered that consolidation has become the biggest tool to facilitate appreciation and scholarship for the watches I choose to put my time towards. At an even #4, I believe that a collection can be digested at once while simultaneously being methodical and deliberate. I aim to curate these little spreads weekly, and hopefully, they can bring the same joy to you as they have for me.
